Akiyoshidai International Art Village
Residence Support Program

Akiyoshidai International Art Village (AIAV) opened in August 1998 as a place for a wide range of creative activities including contemporary music, art, dance and drama, and a base for Artists-In-Residence. We have a RESIDENCE SUPORT PROGRAM to enhance the Artists-In-Residence program at the village. We are inviting artists to stay at the Akiyoshidai International Art Village and carry out creative activities.

Period of stay: For 1-3 months duaing the period Oct. 1 - Dec. 25, 1999 / Jan. 5 - Mar.25, 2000

Support:
  1. Transportation fee to the village (round trip)
  2. Accommodation in the village (meals are not included)
  3. Expences of creative activities (approximately 30,000 yen per month)
Conditions and eligibility:
  1. New artists, mid-career artists or students (20 years or over) who have ambitions of furthering their artistic experience.
  2. Aplicants are required to have a local exchange activity shuch as a presentation, an open atelier or a workshop.
  3. Aplicants should donate one of their works which will be created during the stay in the vilage.
How to apply
Applicants should submit a proposal and some pictures or recoreds of previous works. It is preferable to enclose a letter of intent, a letter of recommendation written by third party.
